twenty-twenty-twenty-four hours to go...
I do my best work under stringent time constraints. If I don't have a deadline (whether it's one I set for myself, or one someone else set), I get lazy. "Oh, I'll just finish this whenever." More often than not, I end up abandoning that project. But when I have some nutty goal to meet (such as National Novel Writing Month, where I had to write a novel of at least 50,000 words during the month of November), not only do I reach the goal, I do it well. That's why, when I heard about the 24-hour zine challenge, I knew I had to participate. I decided I would create a zine of twenty-four pages or more in twenty-four hours or less; and to set a further challenge for myself, I decided it would be a fictionzine. So this is it. This is my madness. Enjoy.

This zine was created in 24 hours, in May of 2005. The clip-art was found on a vintage clip-art website. Everything else is by me.
Thanks to: Reflections, Marina Gardens, and Paddy O's for serving up coffee and whiskey to me and giving an insomniac a place to write. Julie, for coming up with the zine challenge. K. Marie Ratticus and Samcore for endless support. Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, World/Inferno Friendship Society, ZZZZ, the Old Scratch Revival Singers, and Clare Fader for musical inspiration. And you, for reading this.
